The proposed buildings refer to the characteristic urban fabric of Moravské Bránice. The design is inspired by the local urban principles – the longitudinal plots and the further division into smaller, more enclosed spaces.
The designed volumes – the municipal building and the fire station – divide the site and define the surrounding public spaces. The goal of the design is to create a strong center of the village.
The municipal building steps back from the main street and by doing so offers space for a spacious village square. The new square addresses the need for a whole spectrum of local cultural and public activities.
The fire station is placed on the opposite side of the plot, completing the face of the old historic village square.
The space between the municipal office and the fire station is divided between a new garden and a technical courtyard.
